Research free at Harvard:In a move to disseminate faculty research and scholarship more broadly, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) voted Tuesday (Feb. 12) to give the University a worldwide license to make each faculty member’s scholarly articles available and to exercise the copyright in the articles, provided that the articles are not sold for a profit. This will allow scholars and the general public from around the world access to scholarly works of FAS faculty. "By working, as individual faculties and together as a single University, we can all promote the free communication of knowledge," said Robert Darnton, Carl H. Pforzheimer University Professor and director of the University Library.http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/2008/02.14/99-fasvote.html

That is very good to know.
I've looked a few times, online, for just the kind of information that seems to be provided by this site... with no real luck.
So thanks for handing it to us!
